This is the preliminary (or launch) version of the 2022-2023 VCU Bulletin. This edition includes all programs and courses approved by the publication deadline; however we may receive notification of additional program approvals after the launch. The final edition and full PDF version will include these updates and will be available in August prior to the beginning of the fall semester.

The minor in education is meant to allow students to further explore educational theories and practices. Students who complete this minor will not meet the requirements needed for teacher licensure in the state of Virginia as outlined by the Virginia Department of Education. For information regarding licensure, please contact the School of Educations Student Services Center.

Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 to declare a minor in education and must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8 throughout the course work in the minor. The minor in education requires a minimum of 18 credits, consisting of the following:
