The UAA advises students admitted to VCU with a “nondegree-seeking” status. Undergraduate nondegree-seeking students who have not previously earned a baccalaureate degree may take a maximum of 11 credit hours per semester. Transient students who are seeking a degree at another institution of higher education may take up to 19 credit hours per semester. The nondegree-seeking student adviser helps these students identify appropriate courses for registration according to their educational goals, and also helps with the registration process.
