This is the preliminary (or launch) version of the 2025-2026 VCU Bulletin. Courses that expose students to cutting-edge content and transformative learning may be added and notification of additional program approvals may be received prior to finalization. General education program content is also subject to change. The final edition and full PDF version will include these updates and will be available in August prior to the beginning of the fall semester.

VCU Orientation is an essential next step in preparing new undergraduate students for their first semester at VCU on the Monroe Park Campus. There are three main components of orientation: an in-person or virtual orientation session, several required training modules and successful advising and course registration. Orientation is the time to connect with other new students, experience campus and learn more about academic colleges/schools and the resources available.

VCU recognizes families and supporters as important partners in student success. Families and supporters are invited to orientation with their student to gain knowledge about VCU resources and be positioned to support their student's academic journey and ultimate success.

To learn more about VCU Orientation, visit the Orientation and Transition Programs website. New undergraduate students on the MCV campus, as well as graduate and professional students, should contact their individual department for further information about any orientation requirements they may have.
