This is the preliminary (or launch) version of the 2023-2024 VCU Bulletin. This edition includes all programs
and courses approved by the publication deadline; however we may receive notification of additional program
approvals after the launch. The final edition and full PDF version will include these updates and will be available
in August prior to the beginning of the fall semester.
The minor in biology requires a minimum of 20 credits in biology, including the following:

Only courses applicable toward the B.S. in Biology can be applied toward the minor in biology. For a list of approved biology electives, see “Biology, Bachelor of Science (B.S.)” in the Undergraduate Bulletin.
A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required for all courses applicable to the minor. A minimum of nine upper-level biology credits must be taken at VCU.
BNFO 251/LFSC 251 and BNFO 252/LFSC 252 are approved course substitutes for BIOZ 151 and BIOZ 152, respectively.
